Historic Harlem of the West
Experience
the bygone era of San Diego's historic Harlem of the West. See
where Louis Armstrong, Billie Holiday, Nat King Cole, and other
legendary jazz and blues stars played. See where Cab Calloway,
Jelly Roll Morton, and other entertainers stayed.
This 45
minute walking tour cover most of downtown's historic jazz and
blues scene, business establishments, and legendary hang-outs.
You'll experience African American history in the Gaslamp
Quarter, 1870-1970's. Advance reservation required.

11:00am (Please arrive 10 minutes early, if possible)

Attire:
Comfortable/loose fitting clothes, walking or comfortable
shoes.
Note: 45 minutes; walking required. Come eager to learn about
the history and culture of African Americans in the Gaslamp
Quarter.
Cost:
$5 per person
Kids 16 and under free with parent or guardian.
Groups of up to 30 welcome (ask about special group rate).
